THE PROPERTIES OF GALANGAL

Why is it so effective against dandruff?

The appearance of dandruff is the result of an abnormal shedding of epidermal cells on the scalp. Cells multiply too quickly and do not allow time for dead cells to be eliminated as they grow. This phenomenon is reinforced by an imbalance in the microbiome of the scalp and by the proliferation of Malassezia fungi which causes inflammation and irritation.

This is where Galangal (Alpinia Galangal) comes in: it is renowned in traditional Chinese medicine for its purifying and soothing properties . This natural fungicide will rebalance, purify the scalp and help eliminate dandruff. Your hair will be free of dandruff from the first use.

Respect for the environment

In order not to endanger the plant resources of the island of Java, the harvesting of galangal is undertaken as part of an agroforestry approach that encourages reforestation. The programme set up by Klorane Botanical Foundation in collaboration with the NGO Coeur de Forêt aims to reforest the community with 3,000 trees distributed according to the beneficial and endangered species listed by the NGO, with the objective of 10,000 trees in 3 years.
