WHAT IS A POWDER MASK?

A powder mask is a hair treatment in the form of a foaming powder. Like a conventional shampoo, it contains surfactants and hair-benefiting agents to cleanse impurities and leave hair soft and shiny. The powder mask is actually very similar to liquid shampoo, except it contains no water and is therefore much more compact.

WHAT ARE POWDER MASKS MADE OF? 

Powder masks are made up of a soap base and a surfactant to clean the hair, gelling and emollient agents to produce a foamy texture on contact with water, and active ingredients that target the specific needs of certain hair types. Powder masks often contain natural ingredients as most of the brands that offer them are committed to protecting the planet. 

ARE POWDER MASKS AS EFFECTIVE AS REGULAR SHAMPOO?

Unlike dry shampoos, which allow you delay shampooing without really cleaning your hair, the powder mask removes impurities and replaces the cleanser in your usual routine with actual treatment action.

Powder masks are just as effective as the more traditional formulas contained in solid or liquid shampoo. In fact, they contain the same active ingredients and so have the same benefits for your hair. Only their size differs as they don’t contain water, but this doesn’t affect their effectiveness. HOW TO USE A POWDER MASK?

To apply a powder mask, pour a small amount of powder into the palm of your hand (a teaspoon is usually enough for one shampoo). Then run your hand under the shower and lather the mixture. Apply it to your hair and scalp like a regular shampoo. Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse with clean water.
